I will never forget how strange it was the first time I saw, Bellamy Park and the Disc Golf course, which became my second home. I mean seriously, throwing a frisbee like disc through a woody fairway, trying to ultimately land your disc into an odd metal basket.
Needless to say I became hooked on disc. Maybe it was the thrill of watching a disc slice through the air, missing this tree, only to hit that one. The joy one gets from the sound of your putter smashing the metal chains...only to then ricochet off the cage, fall to the ground landing on its edge and rolling 30 feet further away, down a ditch and into a river.....or this happens
Like SERIOUSLY!
Bellamy Park quickly became my home away from home. Even though I was a beginner and new to the "sport". The disc community at Bellamy Park welcomed my friends and I as if we were playing there our whole lives.
We became a part of Bellamy Park and the greater Disc Golf Community.
